8-Week Immersion Course

8-Week Immersion Course in Drawing, Painting, and Art History

(beginner, intermediate and advanced levels welcome)

Course fee: 41800 SEK

Course outline:

In this 8-week course, students will learn the fundamentals of drawing and painting by working on exercises based on our 3-year academic program under the guidance of Florence Academy faculty members. Classes follow a weekly schedule but the individual exercises can be tailored to each student, which means beginners and advanced students alike can participate. Students will learn how draw and paint from direct observation, which will include time with a live model each week. There will also be at least one guided visit to the Gothenburg Museum of Art.

The workshop is an immersive experience into the Florence Academy environment and students are invited to participate in weekly evening classes offered to our full-time students. This includes addtional figure drawing, art history lectures, anatomy classes, and more.

All materials necessary to complete the course will be provided, however, students are encouraged to bring their own drawing and oil painting materials. A supply list will be provided upon request.
